Fish Feel Pain - Poem by Mountain Poet

FISH FEEL PAIN

A new study concludes that fish feel pain.
The anglers make the distinction
between receptors in the mouth
and the lack of a cognizant brain,
to the sensations of a hook in the mouth
that makes the fish pull away.
I've seen fish wince when I was young.

Life is said to begin at the first breath.
But every year the ability to breathe
seems to get younger and younger.
Technology that kick starts the smallest human
has us wondering when life actually begins.
Life and death are just flip sides
to the same miraculous coin.

So far everyone seems to be in agreement
as to when life fundamentally ends.
Between the fish and the tiny babies,
small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand,
it still looks like all life is sacred.

Phoenix Rising - Mountain Poet's September 11th Aftermath

PHOENIX RISING
September 11th Aftermath

In one moment of such monumental terror,
time stands still and silent,
buried beneath the smoke and ash.
We wrestle with the darkness and the fear
that such blatant evil brings to mind,
as the images roll across our TV screens.

Our nation's vulnerability has been stretched
beyond reason but not repair.
The symbolisms of our freedom
and our basic sense of safety
were torn right out from under
where the sun shone
brightly on this quiet
September day.
Leaving behind shadows and burdens
that will haunt us for many ages to come.
Tomorrow will bring it's own misery and mourning,
as surely as the sun will rise again.

I don't know the people who died today,
but I can share this sorrow and the loss
from those gone suddenly and recently from my life.
The grief I feel is almost palatable in the air,
as a solitary fighter jet circles the mountain named in song
because America is beautiful.

Death is the great leveler, the heavy cross,
the reminder that each day counts.
But from the smoke and ash we do rise up
to meet what comes. A fiery promise
born on the wings of this earthly matter.

Even these silent tears are good for one thing.
They remind us that we are still human, and
that we can love like a Phoenix rising.

Last Breath - Old Love Poem by Mountain Poet

LAST BREATH

I wonder what I can hold you with?

From what is mine to give
I offer you splendid desperate sunsets
from tired days. The deep smell of wood,
a city's dying death, and lonely
ragged alleys in the dark.

I offer you a million held nights
gazing at the moon,
where the mysterious starkness
is laden lightly with the unexpected,
and the desirable. In the hollows

I offer the bitter faces of the thieves
who seek only to outlive
the darkness until dawn.
Robbing even the stars of their glory.

I offer you the memories
of mountains, valleys, and towns
that bloomed before your birth.

I offer you my ancestors. My ghosts.
Long dead men who carved their visions
in marble forums. My Father’s Father
who sought the cycle of men and moons
amongst the music of the Centaurs
and Flying Steeds.

I offer you the breadth between Apollo and Aphrodite.
Imperial sons and daughters of Zeus.
The world’s first poets and propagandists,
and romantic men who died in ashes
when Vesuvius erupted in Pompeii.

I offer you the loyalty of a woman
whose only bondage has been Love,
and the daily ritual of my life.

I offer you the core of myself
that I have saved somehow.
The essence of my central heart,
unaffected by time, by joy,
by the daylight's saving grace.

I offer you my thoughts about you,
explanations and theories about you,
and surprising news about yourself.

Yes, I can offer you what is left
of my daylight, my loneliness.
The storms and rainbows of my darkness.

These are my sacred offerings,
and with them come my dangers, uncertainties,
and the longful daydreams of my heart.

Hopeful bribes, perhaps.
But in giving what gives us pleasure,
we must also give what gives us pain.

Who Is The Dreamer, Dreaming? - Poem by Mountain Poet

WHO IS THE DREAMER, DREAMING?

As the larger sky above
is part air, part cloud,
life transitions into death.
Darkness is dispelled by light.

In a dream you gave me your hand,
I saw your fingers stretch out for mine.
I felt your distant presence
through the pressure in my heart.

When we rise each day in life,
the idea of dying is but a dream.
When we are dead life is
but a dream upon a dream.

Light to dark, we wake, we sleep
we move by stillness into eternity.
Death is more than dying,
Living is more than life.
Who is the dreamer, dreaming?

Torrential Down Pour - Poem by Mountain Poet

TORRENTIAL DOWN POUR
by Mountain Poet

The close of night
over freshly fallen snow.
The heavens have released
the moisture and the wind,
upon a thirsty earth.
The trees drink up their need.

A community lays quiet
under the change
of seasons, and waits
to be delivered,
by the Sun and their desire
to be made whole.

The fragments break apart
like glacial packs of ice.
They come off the mountain
hard and cold.
At the bottom lies the lake
that will fill up, and rise.
Or dry up into dust
and brittle bones.

The shadows move and draw
to those that have
a hunger for the dark.
A negative need impossible
to fulfill and put to death.
It is restless and insatiable
for that which is less and weak.

Through the clouds
a Ray of Light,
beams down a purpose
and a right.

We are left at the crossroads
of good versus evil, and which path
we take leaves behind the prints
of our deepest need.
The direction we choose
makes the difference,
in how we finish our quest.
Face up looking into the stars,
or down into quick sand and mud.

Our fears are easily realized,
if we give them the license and freedom
to feed on our hearts and mind.
The mystics teach a process
to turn darkness into light.
The alchemical transmutation
of solitude and stone.

Walk with that which is greater
than the human refusal to stand,
against disparity and depression.
Take no more than you need,
and give the best that you have
every step of the way.

Our reward may not come
until some distant point.
The concern of the soul
is to manifest a destiny
that is rite. Complete
the process in the blazing
sphere of Heaven’s Light.

We are mortal and not given
to know how to
put this confusion to rest.
We strive and yet we feel
the strangling vine,
of weeds and barren land.
Our Castles fall on
shifting sand.

We go home and wonder
what went wrong.
when we lay down,
our slumber wearies us
even more as the dream unfolds.
How will we find the time?
The dream fades easily
under the harsh reality,
of each day’s duties and schemes.

Take my hand and I
will lead you where
you have not been.
I am guided by your voice,
and that look in your eye.

You are full of sadness
and hope. We cannot see
ourselves as well as others
see us. Because we have grown
to use to our bodies,
and who we have been.

If we speak encouragement
and not what feeds the
anger and the hate,
then we may at the last
turn be heard.
Because the angels listen
for a certain sound,
both clear and true.

The ancient text spells out
one word – Peace.
Participate, and you will
reach not just that
which you need.
A miracle much greater
than you expected
to be given, or believed.
It is through the language
of the heart that we hear,
what we need to set us free.

Together, one by one
the texture changes.
The puzzle gets put together
in colours that belong,
because they fit
and fill the void.
The picture is beautiful,
as the pieces that make
each vision real.

Listen please, to the rain
and its need to wash us
clean and unafraid.
The sun waits,
behind the clouds.
Soft and silver-lined,
you may rise
to touch them.

Look within and you will find
what it is you seek.
After the storm,
the rainbow breaks.

I send you this,
wishing you some small comfort
and love.

Nano Aluminum Particles and Chemtrails - Russell L. Blaylock, M.D

CHEMTRAILS, NANOALUMINUM AND NEURODEGENERATIVE AND NEURODEVELOPMENTAL EFFECTS

by Russell L. Blaylock, M.D

The internet is littered with stories of “chemtrails” and geoengineering to combat “global warming” and until recently I took these stories with a grain of salt. One of the main reasons for my skepticism was that I rarely saw what they were describing in the skies. But over the past several years I have notice a great number of these trails and I have to admit they are not like the contrails I grew up seeing in the skies. They are extensive, quite broad, are laid in a definite pattern and slowly evolve into artificial clouds. Of particular concern is that there are now so many—dozens every day are littering the skies.

My major concern is that there is evidence that they are spraying tons of nanosized aluminum compounds. It has been demonstrated in the scientific and medical literature that nanosized particles are infinitely more reactive and induce intense inflammation in a number of tissues. Of special concern is the effect of these nanoparticles on the brain and spinal cord, as a growing list of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) are strongly related to exposure to environmental aluminum.

Scientists' deaths are under the microscope

It's a tale only the best conspiracy theorist could dream up. Eleven microbiologists mysteriously dead over the span of just five months. Some of them world leaders in developing weapons-grade biological plagues. Others the best in figuring out how to stop millions from dying because of biological weapons. Still others, experts in the theory of bioterrorism. Throw in a few Russian defectors, a few nervy U.S. biotech companies, a deranged assassin or two, a bit of Elvis, a couple of Satanists, a subtle hint of espionage, a big whack of imagination, and the plot is complete, if a bit reminiscent of James Bond.

Senate Panel Blows Whistle On Over Drugging Patients

Baylor College of Medicine | WORLD TRUTH TODAY
Old news worth paying attention to today

by: Monica G. Young
Pharmaceutical companies view the elderly as a lucrative market. However a panel of experts at the recent Senate Aging Committee forum decided to speak up. Over-medication occurs far too often in those diagnosed with dementia, the panel warned, and as baby boomers age the problem will only worsen.
